Job summary

CKB Recruitment is recruiting a Group Operations Manager for a London-based Lloyd’s broker. This newly created role focuses on end-to-end operations, process improvement and automation, including leveraging AI to enhance efficiency and MI reporting.

You will own operational priorities, coordinate with external providers, and manage one direct report. The role values collaboration, clear communication and practical, hands-on improvement of workflows.

Qualifications

• Essential Insurance operations experience in a Lloyd’s Broker or London Market.
• Strong understanding of insurance broking workflows and operational demands.
• Track record of improving processes and delivering adoption.
• Strong tech skills with AI and automation in business settings.
• Ability to manage priorities and direct a report.
• Experience managing outsourced service providers.

Responsibilities

• Own operational priorities and drive actions to completion.
• Map workflows to identify bottlenecks and reduce manual work.
• Develop consistent processes with clear responsibilities and timescales.
• Drive improvements from discussion through implementation and review.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve efficiency and MI.
• Collaborate with tech providers to test and implement tools.
• Create clear process documentation and explain concepts accessibly.
• Manage UK-based outsourcing providers and service expectations.
• Improve coordination between providers and internal teams.
• Support workload planning and problem-solving across operations.
• Develop and mentor one direct report with clear objectives.
