Job summary

The Employment Network is recruiting a Group Management Accountant for a growing business based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. It is a permanent, hands-on role reporting to the Financial Controller, encompassing management accounting, group consolidation, intercompany accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

There is clear progression with potential to advance to Financial Controller and become No.2 to the CFO, plus leading and developing an Assistant Management Accountant.

Qualifications

• Qualified or strong QBE in ACCA/CIMA/ACA with a solid management accounting background.
• Experience in managing junior finance staff is essential.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills is essential.
• Group consolidation/intercompany accounting experience is advantageous.
• Office-based, full-time role located in Kidlington.

Responsibilities

• Monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Group consolidation and intercompany accounting/reconciliations.
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end.
• Management information, KPIs and financial analysis.
• Business partnering and identifying opportunities to improve performance and processes.
• Management and development of an Assistant Management Accountant.
• Year-end and audit support.

Group Management Accountant £60,000 - £70,000 Kidlington, Oxfordshire Permanent

The Employment Network is recruiting for a technically strong and ambitious Group Management Accountant to join a successful and growing business based in Kidlington.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role covering management accounting, group consolidation, intercompany accounting, budgeting and forecasting, alongside management of an Assistant Management Accountant.

There is genuine progression available, with the potential longer-term to step into the Financial Controller position and become No.2 to the CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Group consolidation and intercompany accounting/reconciliations
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end
• Management information, KPIs and financial analysis
• Business partnering and identifying opportunities to improve performance and processes

About you

• Strong technical management accounting experience
• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or strong QBE
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience managing/developing junior finance staff
• Proactive, commercially minded and confident challenging existing processes
• Ambitious and keen to progress
• Group consolidation/intercompany experience advantageous, but not essential
• Sage Intacct experience advantageous
• Happy working full-time, office-based in Kidlington
