Job summary

Join a leading company as a Group Health & Safety Manager, responsible for leading and implementing the health & safety strategy across the group. You will ensure compliance with UK legislation, conduct risk assessments, and promote a positive safety culture. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH General Certificate and experience in health and safety roles, particularly in manufacturing or field service environments.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH certification essential.
  • Health and safety experience in manufacturing or field service preferred.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor health and safety policies across the group.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Coordinate health and safety training.

Skills

Knowledge of UK health & safety legislation (HSAWA 1974)
Experience with risk assessments and safety audits
Experience in developing and implementing safety policies

Education

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent

Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity to join this group of people and share in our success as a Group Health & Safety Manager. You will lead, develop, and maintain the health & safety strategy, ensuring all workplaces and activities are safe, healthy, and compliant with legislation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies across the group.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Promote a positive health & safety culture among employees.
  • Review incidents and safety observations, applying preventative measures.
  • Keep the business updated on health & safety legislation and communicate changes.
  • Coordinate health & safety training for staff and contractors.
  • Lead Health & Safety Committees and liaise with external bodies.
  • Report regularly to leadership and handle necessary documentation.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of UK health & safety legislation (HSAWA 1974).
  • Experience in a health and safety role, preferably in manufacturing or field service.
  • Experience with risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Experience in developing and implementing safety policies.
