LHC Procurement Group seeks a Group Governance and Risk Manager to drive governance, risk, and compliance across the organisation. You will work closely with the Board and Senior Leadership Team to shape processes and ensure statutory and regulatory adherence.
You will own governance policy, support board development, manage records and external advisers, and assume the Data Protection Officer responsibilities to safeguard data protection, privacy, and DPIA activities.
As our Group Governance and Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enabling our mission to improve lives and places, ensuring that LHCPG operates with transparency, integrity and accountability to reflect our values across our business in support of the communities we serve.
Working closely with the Board and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will take ownership of a broad governance remit, with genuine scope to shape practice and improve the processes, systems and ways of working that underpin excellent governance across LHCPG. You will ensure that all areas of our business are supported to understand and adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements.

Your proven track record in a highly commercial, agile and fast paced corporate environment playing a key role in shaping and leading governance and risk management will enable you to demonstrate strong capability in applying appropriate models of governance to a customer-focused, service provider in the highly competitive procurement sector. You will be an established governance professional who operates confidently with senior stakeholders while maintaining independence, discretion and sound judgement. The role has line management responsibility for one direct report.
Experience gained in a proactive Company Secretariat or Governance function within a highly professional and demanding environment is vital, accompanied ideally with knowledge and experience of the specific requirements of the not-for-profit and charity sector. A proven track record of providing high-quality governance support and trusted advice to Boards and Committees is essential.
