Job summary

Equifind are supporting an elite boutique investment bank to recruit a Group FP&A Manager for their City of London office. You’ll oversee a small team of Analysts and Finance Business Partners, each responsible for partnering with their own region across EMEA, APAC and MENA.

You’ll also lead on projects and take ownership of the annual accounts, budgets and forecasts. The ideal candidate will be a chartered accountant with a background in group or technical reporting, giving them the grounding

Qualifications

• ACA/CA chartered accountant, ideally audit trained.
• Minimum of 8 years' post-qualified experience.
• Experience in a large financial institution, international group.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Excellent communication with a business partnering mindset.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team of finance business partners across regions.
• Oversee preparation and delivery of annual accounts across regions.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting with insightful challenge to stakeholders.
• Lead finance projects, including post-acquisition integration work.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders as a trusted partner.

Job description

Equifind are supporting an global 'elite boutique' investment bank to recruit a Group FP&A Manager for their City of London office.

You’ll oversee a small team of Analysts and Finance Business Partners, each responsible for partnering with their own region across EMEA, APAC and MENA. You’ll also lead on projects and take ownership of the annual accounts, budgets and forecasts.

Following a large acquisition last year, the business has been strengthening its finance, data and analytical capabilities, which has led to the creation of this role.

The ideal candidate will be a chartered accountant with a background in group or technical reporting, giving them the grounding to work closely with regional finance teams and deliver on the accounts. Just as important are the commercial and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a small team of finance business partners covering multiple regions and time zones
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of annual accounts across the regions
• Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing insight and challenge to regional stakeholders
• Lead on finance projects, including ongoing integration work following last year’s acquisition
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted commercial partner to the business

Application criteria:

• ACA/CA chartered accountant, ideally audit trained
• Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualified experience
• Experience within a large financial institution, ideally in a complex, international group
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent communication skills with a true business partnering mindset
• Advanced Excel skills

Package on offer:

• Base salary of £100-125,000
• ‘Work from anywhere’ for up to 2 weeks of the year
