Job summary

Zanda is partnering with a well-funded technology company to hire a Group Financial Controller. The role offers full ownership of accounting operations, audit and tax, with a path to permanent.

You will report to the CFO on an initial 6-month interim basis and shape the finance function for a fast-scaling business. Key deliverables include billing, AR, AP, GL, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and internal controls across IFRS and UK taxation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years combined accounting and finance experience.
• ACA, ACMA or ACCA qualified.
• Public and private environment experience with PCAOB audit exposure.
• NetSuite or comparable ERP implementation experience.
• Experience leading finance transformation in high-growth start-ups.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of billing, AR, AP, GL, cost accounting and revenue recognition.
• Audit leadership, R&D tax credit claims and transfer pricing.
• Monthly financial statements, regulatory reporting, and month-end/year-end close.
• Internal controls and business process design from the ground up.
• UK and international compliance across IFRS, company law and taxation.
• Commercial input on procurement and supply contracts, including negotiation.
• Direct relationships with auditors, investors, suppliers and customers, as a finance partner.
