Group Financial Controller: Growth & Transformation Leader

Job summary

FWB is supporting a major UK manufacturing and distribution group in appointing a Group Financial Controller. Reporting to the Finance Director and working with the Group CFO, you will lead financial control, reporting and governance across a multi-site organisation.

This role offers scope to enhance ERP systems, implement improvements and scale the finance function in a growing, private equity backed group.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CA/ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with strong grounding in financial control, reporting and statutory accounting.
• Experience in sizeable, multi-entity or multi-site businesses, preferably manufacturing, distribution, FMCG or industrial environments.
• Proven record of leading finance teams and overseeing transactional finance, management accounts and group reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead core financial control activities with governance, balance sheet integrity, working capital management and controls across trading entities.
• Oversee month-end and quarterly reporting, consolidated group accounts and KPI reporting.
• Manage cash flow, debtors, creditors, banking arrangements and payment processes.
• Drive ERP/system enhancements, process improvements and finance transformation.
• Lead and develop central finance function and collaborate with operational teams.
• Oversee VAT, payroll, tax, audits and statutory obligations, including liaising with external advisers.
