Job summary

HW Finance, based in North Manchester, seeks an ambitious Group Financial Controller to lead the finance function, drive robust financial controls, and support strategic growth across a consumer goods business with revenues over £50m.

You will oversee financial reporting, develop the finance team, and partner with senior leadership to maximise profitability while guiding strategic decision making and process improvements for long-term success.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills.
• Experience leading an end-to-end finance function.
• Significant cash flow and working capital experience.
• Excellent communication with senior leadership.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement best-in-class financial controls across the group.
• Oversee month and year end accounts with timely submissions.
• Lead and develop a growing finance team.
• Review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounts.
• Provide commercial support to aid strategic decision making.
• Produce monthly MI for senior management.
• Forecast and budget.
• Partner with senior leadership to maximise opportunities and profitability.
• Continuously improve processes and systems.
• Support future acquisitions across the group, including integration.
