Job summary

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment is assisting a Scottish group headquartered in Angus with a Group Financial Controller opportunity. This role oversees financial control, reporting and governance across multiple entities, partnering with the Group Finance Director and senior leadership to influence decision-making.

You will deliver monthly and annual reporting, drive balance sheet integrity, manage audits, and shape treasury activities and forecasting while developing a high-performing finance

Qualifications

• Strong financial control and reporting experience in a commercial environment.
• Proven ability to lead month-end processes and deliver robust governance.
• Experience in building relationships with stakeholders and leading finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, accounting operations and group reporting.
• Ensure timely monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets and KPIs.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and robust controls.
• Manage annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Own group cash flow forecasting and funding visibility.
• Support treasury activities including FX management and banking relationships.
• Resolve intercompany accounting matters across the group.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide insight and challenge.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting capability.
• Lead, coach and develop finance team members.
