Ready to roll your sleeves up and lead the charge through a major finance transformation?

We’re partnering with a global business operating across multiple jurisdictions. A complex operation. We’re looking for a Group Financial Controller who can get stuck in and bring order.

You’ll report directly to the Finance Director, head up a 10-strong Technical Financial Accounting and Reporting team, and play a key role in a wider finance team of 30. Your mission? Own the controls, shape the reporting, and deliver slick, consolidated group accounts while guiding the business through a time of serious change.

This isn’t just about closing the books. It’s about people, transformation, and technical depth. You’ll be the FD’s right hand, the team’s go-to person, and the one with the answers when the auditors come calling.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Leading and mentoring a high-performing team of qualified and part-qualified accountants
2. Owning all things technical accounting – IFRS mastery essential
3. Overseeing GL processes and strengthening financial controls across the group
4. Driving year-end close and audit processes with minimal fuss and maximum accuracy
5. Partnering with senior stakeholders to improve processes and lead change from the front
6. Playing a key role in a major ERP implementation – it’s happening, and you’ll be crucial
7. Contributing to broader finance transformation projects – from process reviews to reporting upgrades

What we’re looking for:

1. A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or similar) with strong technical expertise and a calm head under pressure
2. A proven people leader who can inspire and develop a team
3. A hands-on operator who’s not afraid to get into the detail
4. Experience in complex, international businesses. Bonus points for backgrounds in oil and gas, aviation, mining, shipping, logistics or similar
5. ERP implementation experience. You’ve done it before, and you know what’s coming
6. Someone who can manage change, speak in plain English, and bring others with them
