Job summary

Camino Search is recruiting a Group Financial Controller to own group consolidation, month-end close, and investor reporting. You will lead financial control across UK and European entities, overseeing audits, tax and banking relationships, while driving budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling for growth.

The role requires hands-on leadership, built to support expansion into new markets and acquisitions, with the aim of scaling a high-performance finance function.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with practical experience in group consolidation and reporting.
• Strong FP&A capabilities including budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis.
• Experience in PE-backed or acquisitive environments and scaling finance teams.

Camino Search is supporting a PE-backed, specialist international consultancy on the appointment of a Group Financial Controller. This is a broad, hands-on role combining group financial control with ownership of FP&A, in a business with clear plans for further European and international expansion, including through acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Own group consolidation, month-end close, management accounts and board and investor reporting
• Lead financial control and governance across UK and European entities, including statutory compliance, audit, tax, banking and local advisers
• Own budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, and provide commercial analysis to the leadership team
• Ensure robust project accounting and revenue recognition across consultancy engagements and recurring revenue streams
• Support expansion into new markets, including entity set-up, acquisition due diligence and integration
• Lead and develop the existing finance team as the function scales

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant
• Group Financial Controller, senior Financial Controller or Finance Director experience within professional services, consulting or tech-enabled services
• Experience in a PE-backed or acquisitive environment
• Strong background in group consolidation, reporting and controls
• Experience managing European entities, banking relationships and local advisers
• Credible FP&A capability across budgeting, forecasting, modelling and commercial analysis
• Project accounting and revenue recognition experience
• Hands-on, with the ability to develop people and build a scalable finance function
