Job summary

Core3 | B Corp™ is seeking a Group Financial Controller in the UK to lead financial control, group reporting, and governance across multiple entities. You will work closely with the Finance Director to strengthen processes and prepare consolidated statements.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA, strong accounting expertise, and experience delivering robust controls in a growing company. Hybrid working and office presence in Exeter/Truro are available.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA designation.
• Strong technical accounting and consolidated reporting experience.
• Proven track record in month-end/year-end close and statutory reporting.
• Experience leading external audits and maintaining financial controls.
• Experience in multi-entity environments and cash/treasury management.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close across multiple entities.
• Own group reporting and consolidation of financial statements.
• Strengthen balance sheet controls and governance.
• Manage statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audits.
• Oversee AP/AR, banking and payroll interfaces; improve cash flow reporting.
• Partner with FP&A to align actuals with budgets and forecasts.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and senior stakeholders.
• Develop and implement robust financial systems and processes.
• Coach and develop the finance team and drive ownership.

Group Financial Controller

Core3 is delighted to be working with a growing organisation to recruit a Group Financial Controller.

This is a senior finance leadership role with responsibility for financial control, group reporting, compliance and the continued development of the finance function.

As Group Financial Controller, you'll work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership team, giving you the opportunity to shape how financial control operates across the group. How you'll make an impact

• Lead the month-end and year-end close across multiple entities
• Own group reporting and the preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Strengthen balance sheet controls, reconciliations and financial governance
• Manage statutory reporting, tax compliance and the external audit process
• Oversee transactional finance, including AP, AR, banking and payroll interfaces
• Improve cash management, cash flow reporting and treasury processes
• Partner with FP&A to connect actual performance with budgets and forecasts
• Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and senior stakeholders
• Develop financial systems, controls and reporting as the organisation grows
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline finance processes
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team, creating clear ownership and accountability
