Job summary

Eutopia Search is seeking a Financial Accountant for Milton Keynes on a hybrid basis. You will join the Group Finance function and contribute to month-end consolidations, IFRS reporting and technical accounting support.

You'll work with senior stakeholders and external auditors, help improve financial reporting processes and support wider Group initiatives, including finance transformation and system enhancements. ACA qualification is preferred and UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge is essential.

Financial Accountant | Milton Keynes | Hybrid Working

I'm currently supporting a well-established organisation with the appointment of a Group Financial Accountant to join its growing Group Finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a first-time mover from practice or an accountant already operating in industry who is looking to broaden their experience within a large, complex and ambitious organisation.

Working closely with the wider senior finance leadership team, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of financial reporting activities, alongside opportunities to contribute to wider Group projects and improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting monthly Group consolidations and internal and external reporting.
• Assisting with the preparation of consolidated IFRS financial statements.
• Providing technical accounting support and guidance across the Group.
• Working closely with senior stakeholders, operational finance teams and external auditors.
• Supporting improvements to financial reporting processes, systems and controls.
• Contributing to wider Group initiatives, including finance transformation and other strategic projects.

The ideal candidate will be:

• ACA qualified (or equivalent), ideally from an audit background.
• Technically strong, with a sound understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Comfortable working with complex financial information and large datasets.
• Commercially aware, personable and confident engaging with stakeholders.
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop their career within Group Finance.
