Job summary

Cedar is seeking a Group Finance Manager to lead the core finance operation for a PE-backed infrastructure group in Crewe. You will drive month-end close, balance sheet integrity, intercompany accounting and transactional finance while managing a 10-person team in a fast-growing environment.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong leadership, technical accounting skills, and a track record of improving processes in multi-entity settings.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with Financial Manager level experience.
• Proven people manager with ability to lead a sizeable finance team.
• Strong technical accounting skills in balance sheet control, intercompany and month end.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 10 finance professionals.
• Own the group month-end close and deliver timely, accurate results.
• Manage intercompany accounting, recharges, reconciliations and eliminations.
• Oversee balance sheet integrity and reconciliations across the group.
• Oversee transactional finance including purchase and sales ledgers, credit control and cash allocation.
• Drive process improvements and control enhancements across the function.
• Support year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
