Job summary

Goodman Masson is recruiting a Group Finance Director for a PE-backed data centre business in London. You will report to the CFO and manage FP&A and Group Reporting, building a professional finance function to scale with growth.

You will lead controls, reporting, and commercial finance, support acquisitions, implement IFRS reporting and audits, manage debt and treasury, and present board KPIs and scenario models to drive strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Must build a professionalised finance function to support rapid growth.
• Strong on both controls and reporting as well as commercial finance.
• Experience with acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
• Experience implementing IFRS reporting and leading audits.
• Proven ability in treasury, cash management and KPI reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance function including FP&A, Financial Control & Reporting and Treasury & Cash Management.
• Provide support around acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
• Build a monthly, half-year and annual IFRS reporting framework and deliver audits.
• Manage debt compliance within project finance and SPV structures.
• Develop internal board reporting and KPI metrics; model future scenarios.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Monitor liquidity, Capex and cashflow reporting; establish treasury function.

Job description

A PE-backed data centre business are looking to hire a Group FD to report into the CFO and manage a Group Reporting Manager and FP&A Manager. You will build out a professionalised finance function to support the business' growth.

The individual coming into this role must be strong on both the control and reporting side as well as commercial and strategic finance.

Some of the key areas this role will focus on include:

• Leadership and development of the Finance function overseeing the build out of FP&A, Financial Control & Reporting and Treasury & Cash Management
• Provide support around acquisitions and strategic partnerships
• Build a monthly, half-year and annual reporting framework to incorporate IFRS reporting and successfully deliver the first audit.
• Manage debt compliance within a project finance and SPV environment
• Build out and present Internal Board reporting and KPI metrics
• Produce modelling for future scenario planning to support strategic decisions
• Develop Budgeting, Forecasting & 5 year plan and monitor budget vs actuals
• Manage and track liquidity forecasting, Capex management and cashflow reporting
• Implement accounting policies for Revenue recognition, Leases and Financial Instruments
• Support Transactions and Capital Markets events
• Establish Treasury function and Debt Facility management

This is an early-stage business that is looking to scale-up quickly and is funded by a large PE backer. It is fully funded with big investment to build a finance function suitable for scale.

They are looking for someone with the drive and work ethic to build out a finance function along with relevant experience across commercial finance / modelling, financial reporting and treasury / cash management.
