Job summary

Fisher German is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function from either Ashby de la Zouch or Birmingham. The role focuses on leadership, continuous improvement, and developing a high-performing team within a transforming finance function.

You will oversee cash flow forecasting, reporting, and working capital while driving process improvements and ensuring robust controls across the partnership.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading a finance function.
Strong financial reporting and technical expertise.
Experience managing cash flows.
Experience improving financial processes and controls.
Track record of leading and developing high‑performing teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and develop the finance team, including payroll and credit control.
Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
Maintain robust financial controls and accounting standards.
Manage external audits and relationships with auditors, banks, insurers, and other advisers.
Drive finance transformation initiatives and process optimisation.
Build strong relationships with senior leaders and operational teams.
