Job summary

STOIX is partnering with a large FTSE-listed organisation to appoint a Group Financial Controller. This senior leadership role reports to the Group CFO and is responsible for Group and statutory reporting, technical accounting, external audit and Audit Committee oversight.

The successful candidate will lead a sizeable financial control function within a complex PLC environment. Three days per week on site in the North of England, with confidential discussions under NDA.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification; Big Four or Top 10 audit training preferred.
• Extensive experience in a listed/PLC group finance environment.
• Proven ownership of Group financial and statutory reporting (IFRS and external reporting).
• Evidence of leading a complex external audit and managing senior auditor relationships.
• Experience leading Audit Committee agendas with Board interaction.
• Deep technical accounting and financial control capability.
• Experience in a large, complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Own Group and statutory reporting, IFRS and external reporting responsibilities.
• Lead external audit and manage auditor relationships.
• Prepare and oversee Audit Committee agendas and interactions with the Chair.
• Develop and enhance the Group's financial control environment.
