Halliday Marx is representing a fintech client seeking a Group Finance Controller for an 18-month maternity cover. The role is based in Central London with hybrid working.

You will own group consolidation, monthly reporting, and statutory reporting across multiple entities and currencies, leading a small team and partnering with Commercial Finance. The ideal candidate is a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on approach to drive

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA or CIMA certification.
• Strong technical grounding and meticulous attention to detail.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and ambiguity.
• Experience preparing group reporting by function and multi-entity consolidation.
• Hands-on leader able to manage and develop a small team.

Responsibilities

• Own group consolidation and preparation of group financial reporting by function.
• Own monthly financial reporting, automate functional reporting and regional/product P&L reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts in a multi-entity, multi-currency setup.
• Lead audit transition and statutory reporting, liaise with auditors and lenders.
• Identify process improvements and lead finance transformation initiatives, including AI-enabled projects.
