Job summary

Morson Edge Finance is partnering exclusively with a major UK listed, international business to recruit an Interim Group Finance Accountant / Manager into its Group Finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong qualified Accountant to join a high calibre External Reporting team within a complex, international organisation.

The assignment is initially six months and provides broad exposure across external reporting, consolidation, statutory accounts, and IFRS, with

Qualifications

ACA or ACCA qualified with strong technical accounting background.
Experience with statutory accounts under FRS 101 and UK statutory financial statements.
Experience in group consolidation and external reporting.

Responsibilities

Support the preparation of half-year and year-end statutory financial statements and disclosures.
Own allocated areas of statutory reporting (e.g., fixed assets, trade payables, cash flow).
Maintain and review group consolidation, reconciliations, and monthly submissions.
Prepare statutory financial statements for UK subsidiaries in line with FRS 101 and Companies Act.
Act as main contact for external auditors and respond to information requests.
Research technical accounting matters and apply IFRS and group accounting policies.
Collaborate with finance teams across the group and drive process improvements.
