Job summary

Virgin Active & KAUAI is recruiting a part-time Group Exercise Coordinator in London to elevate our group exercise timetable and deliver an exceptional member experience. You will lead and develop instructors, deliver your own classes with energy and hospitality, and collaborate with PT, Events, and club teams to drive participation and revenue.

The role requires a Level 3 PT and Group Exercise qualification, proven timetable leadership, and a passion for wellness.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse instructor team.
• Commercial awareness and confidence interpreting performance data.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution and optimisation of a balanced, engaging and commercially strong group exercise timetable.
• Deliver your own classes with energy, creativity and unreasonable hospitality.
• Recruit, audition and onboard high-quality instructors, building a talented and motivated team.
• Coach and develop instructors through regular feedback and professional development opportunities.
• Coordinate workshops, masterclasses and themed events that increase participation and revenue.
• Maintain quality control by auditing sessions and ensuring consistently high standards.
• Ensure all classes are compliant with health & safety and statutory requirements.
• Monitor attendance, occupancy and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a visible ambassador on the gym floor, building strong and genuine member relationships.
• Minimise cancellations and ensure operational excellence across the programme.
• Collaborate with PT, Events and wider club teams to deliver a seamless member experience.

In this role, you will play a key part in elevating our world-class group exercise programme by delivering an engaging, balanced and commercially strong timetable. You will lead, coach and develop our instructor team, while ensuring consistently high standards across our classes and creating exceptional experiences that inspire members to live an active life.
