Job summary

Virgin Active in London is seeking a Product Manager to lead our fitness product across Personal Training, Gym Floor and Group Exercise, driving member engagement and commercial performance.

You will recruit and develop a high-performing fitness team, ensure industry-leading standards and innovative programming to bring our wellness proposition to life.

Qualifications

• REPS Level 3 or CIMSPA equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Owning all Product delivery in club through PT, Gym Trainer and Group Exercise functions.
• Ambassador of Virgin Active; uphold highest standards of behaviour.
• Maintain productive relations with team members; proactivity and ownership.
• Recruit and train Personal Trainers and Group Exercise Instructors; support their development.
• Deliver in-club and external fitness events and experiences.
• Monitor industry trends; advise on strategic and tactical approaches.
• Understand KPIs and drive member engagement into fitness programs.
• Fulfill duty shifts; manage staffing and facilities during shifts.

In this role, you will play a part in leading the delivery of our fitness product, creating exceptional experiences across Personal Training, Gym Floor and Group Exercise while driving member engagement and commercial performance. You will recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing fitness team, ensuring industry-leading standards, innovative programming and outstanding member outcomes that bring our wellness proposition to life.

The Role

• Owning all Product delivery in club through the PT, Gym Trainer and Group Exercise function.
• Acting as a ambassador of Virgin Active at all times and consistently role-model the highest standards of behaviour to other employees.
• Maintaining a positive, productive working relationship with other team members, being proactive, using your own initiative and taking ownership of situations.
• Recruiting and training the industry’s best Personal Trainers, Group Exercise Instructors, supporting them with their personal development and class assessments, as well as the development through our internal Academy.
• Delivering key in club and external Fitness events and experiences
• Maintaining a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the club and make appropriate recommendations regarding strategic and tactical approach.
• Understanding KPIs and targets, and the importance of engaging new members into our fitness and group exercise programmes
• Fulfilling Duty Shifts when required, therefore having responsibility and accountability during the shift, controlling staffing and facility issues throughout the club.
