Job summary

OFG Education is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to build and automate a scalable cloud environment. You will help shape standards and contribute to major projects like the Fabric migration and broader cloud evolution.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering over maintenance, offering influence over architecture and future cloud directions within a growing education group.

Qualifications

• Proven IaC experience with Bicep, ARM or Terraform.
• Experience with Azure landing zones, governance, policy and tenant foundations.
• Git, source control and CI/CD experience.
• Ability to establish standards in an evolving cloud environment.
• Experience with Fabric, Data Factory, Power BI, FinOps, AKS, or Policy as Code is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure through IaC using Bicep, ARM or Terraform.
• Support the cloud engineering foundations for Microsoft Fabric/Data Warehouse migration.
• Collaborate with data, BI, security and infra teams to build a secure, scalable and well-governed platform.
• Help establish technical standards and documentation underpinning OFG's future cloud environment.

We've established our initial Azure landing zone – now we need someone who can take that foundation and help build, automate and secure a scalable cloud environment for a growing organisation.

Thisisagenuinebuildrole, rather than simply maintaining an established Azure estate. You'll have the opportunity to influence how our cloud environment develops, establish engineering standards and play a key role in major technology projects including our migration to Microsoft Fabric, wider cloud migration and future AI roadmap.

You'll work within our Group Infrastructure Team to:

• SupportthecloudengineeringfoundationsforourMicrosoftFabric/DataWarehousemigration.
• Workcloselywithdata,BI,securityandinfrastructureteamstobuildasecure,scalableandwell-governedplatform.
• HelpestablishthetechnicalstandardsanddocumentationthatwillunderpinOFG'sfuturecloudenvironment.

What we're looking for

We'relookingforsomeonewithstronghands-onAzureengineeringexperiencewhoenjoysbuildingandimprovingenvironmentsratherthansimplysupportingwhat'salreadythere.

You'll ideally bring:

• ProvenInfrastructureasCodeexperienceusingBicep,ARMorTerraform.
• ExperiencewithAzurelandingzones,governance,policyandtenant-levelfoundations.
• Git,sourcecontrolandCI/CDexperience.
• Experienceworkinginanevolvingcloudenvironmentwhereyoucanhelpestablishstandardsandwaysofworking.

Experience withMicrosoftFabric,DataFactory,PowerBI,FinOps,AKS,PolicyasCodeorAzureAI/Copilotservices wouldbeanadvantage.
