Briggs Equipment UK Ltd is seeking a Group Category Manager in Cannock to lead the development and execution of group-wide category strategies, delivering sustainable cost savings and ensuring alignment with ESG commitments.

You will drive strategic sourcing, supplier optimisation, and contract management, while working with stakeholders across the group to strengthen governance and drive measurable commercial improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of developing and implementing category strategies within complex, multi-site organisations.
• Highly effective at influencing and challenging stakeholders at all levels, driving informed commercial decision-making.
• Demonstrated history of delivering significant cost savings, cost avoidance, and value creation through strategic sourcing.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and contract management expertise.
• Advanced analytical and commercial capability, with spend analysis, TCO modelling, benchmarking and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, own and execute category strategies across assigned spend areas, aligning with Group objectives and procurement priorities.
• Lead complex sourcing projects and negotiations to secure competitive supplier agreements and value for the Group.
• Own the end-to-end contract lifecycle with governance, SLAs, KPIs and risk controls.
• Champion ESG and responsible sourcing, embedding sustainability in procurement decisions.
• Utilise procurement systems and data analytics to enhance sourcing and supplier performance management.
• Drive continuous improvement of procurement policies and governance frameworks across the Group.
