Trial Balance has been assigned by a repeat customer, a firm that we really enjoy dealing with, and a very successful and growing manufacturing business based in Falmouth. The role that they are looking to fill has a broad remit to take in management and legislative reporting for the business along with day-to-day governance for the operation of the finance department.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a number 2 role in the accounting team with the following key responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of management accounts
• Assisting with year-end financial statement preparation.
• Deputising for the FD where required.
• Control of the audit process.
• Payroll systems control.
• Forecasting and budgeting.
• Costing, pricing and stock valuation.
• Continuous process improvement of the finance department.

This is a pivotal role in the finance team and as such would suit a fully or nearly qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA with experience working within a group function. Strong commercial acumen and excellent man-management skills will also be key to your success in this role, which offers a great platform to demonstrate and develop your management and statutory accounting skills.
