Job summary

VanRath is seeking a highly skilled Group Accountant to strengthen the finance team and support strategic development in a reputable organisation.

The role offers exposure to diverse financial functions, reporting to senior leadership, in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. You will lead core accounting activities, ensure compliance, and contribute to strategic planning and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with at least 3 years post-qualified experience.
• Strong ledger systems knowledge and statutory accounting standards.
• Experience in management accounts and liaising with external auditors.
• Meticulous, deadline-focused, and delivers accurate work.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in Excel and multiple accounting software packages.
• Experience with multiple currency bases is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, audit, and update financial records and procedures for compliance and efficiency.
• Provide financial forecasts and support strategic planning.
• Prepare and present management accounts regularly.
• Handle bank reconciliations, VAT returns, bad debt, and compliance.
• Support acquisitions and oversee property portfolios.
• Supervise payroll functions.
• Assist with additional financial duties per full job description.
