Job summary

Corrie Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Groundworkers Squad for a housing development site in Elgin. A three-person team (Ganger, Digger Operator, Groundworker/Labourer) will lead and execute house foundation works, coordinating tasks and maintaining safety on site.

The roles require housing site experience, plant tickets, and the ability to work within a squad to meet deadlines while upholding high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on housing developments and house foundations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a groundworks squad.
• Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
• Relevant plant tickets and qualifications for the Digger Operator role.
• Relevant experience and qualifications for the Ganger position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the groundworks squad to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily tasks and liaise with site management.
• Ensure work is completed to the required standards and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain site health and safety standards and ensure the team follows safe working practices.
• Operate excavators safely and efficiently to excavate house foundations and trenches.
• Assist with site preparation, levelling and material movement as required.
• Work closely with the Ganger and Groundworker to ensure accurate and efficient progress.
• Carry out daily plant checks and follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Assist with the preparation and excavation of house foundations.
• Carry out general groundworks duties
• Support the Digger Operator and Ganger to ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working area and follow all site health and safety requirements.

Corrie Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Groundworkers Squad to carry out house foundation works on a housing development site in Elgin.

This is an exciting opportunity for a 3-person squad that consists of a Ganger, Digger Operator and Groundworker/Labourer.

Ganger

• Supervise and coordinate the groundworks squad to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily tasks and liaise with site management.
• Ensure work is completed to the required standards and within agreed timescales.
• Maintain site health and safety standards and ensure the team follows safe working practices.

Digger Operator

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently to excavate house foundations and trenches.
• Assist with site preparation, levelling and material movement as required.
• Work closely with the Ganger and Groundworker to ensure accurate and efficient progress.
• Carry out daily plant checks and follow all site health and safety procedures.

Groundworker/Labourer

• Assist with the preparation and excavation of house foundations.
