Ridgeway & Co are looking for an experienced Groundworks Site Engineer to join a long-term project in Cambridge. The role offers a day rate of £350-£400 CIS on a 9-month contract with immediate start.

Location is Cambridge; you will set out for foundations, drainage and external works, use Total Station and GPS, and coordinate with site managers and subcontractors to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Engineer on groundworks projects.
• Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsabilités

• Setting out for groundworks, foundations, drainage and external works.
• Setting out levels, coordinates and datums across the site.
• Carrying out surveys and site checks.
• Using Total Station and GPS equipment.
• Reading and interpreting technical and construction drawings.
• Checking line, level and accuracy of completed works.
• Maintaining accurate site and engineering records.
• Liaising with Site Managers, groundworkers and subcontractors.
• Identifying and resolving setting-out or engineering issues.
• Monitoring works to ensure progress is maintained against programme.
• Ensuring works meet required quality and health & safety standards.
