Fawkes & Reece Group in Cambridge is seeking an External Site Manager for a Tier 1 main contractor on a freelance basis. The role starts ASAP and will run until early March 2027, overseeing the external groundworks package with a Senior Project Manager.

You will lead prestart and design meetings, chair weekly progress meetings, approve RAMS, and coordinate with the supply chain to deliver buildability solutions. A tech-savvy candidate who can engage with the team is preferred.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certification required.
• CSCS card holder required.
• First Aid at Work certification required.
• Knowledge of groundworks required.

Responsabilités

• Attend contractor prestart meetings and contribute to agenda.
• Attend and contribute in design team meetings.
• Chair weekly sub-contractor progress meetings; record and issue minutes.
• Attend Safe Starts and ensure RAMS are approved.
• Coordinate DABs; discuss with trades and issue DAB report when needed.
• Identify buildability issues and propose solutions.
• Be tech-savvy and use relevant project tools.
• Engage with supply chain and other team members.
