Job summary

Henry Blue Ltd in Nottinghamshire is seeking a Groundworks, Civil & Rail Engineering Lecturer to teach Level 1-3 courses to young people, full-time students and apprentices. You will join the Engineering department and contribute by planning, delivering and developing lessons.

The role offers up to £42,000 DOE, 39 days' holiday and a 37-hour week with flexible working. A move into teaching is encouraged for those with site experience.

Qualifications

• Recent industry experience in Groundworks, Civil Engineering or Rail Engineering.
• Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade or willingness to work towards one.
• A1 Assessor award or equivalent, or willingness to complete within 6 months.
• English and Maths at Level 2, or willingness to work towards within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and develop theory and practical lessons at Levels 1–3.
• Assess learners and keep accurate records of their progress.
• Create and develop learning resources for lessons.
• Act as personal tutor to a group of learners.
• Support quality reviews and stay up to date with curriculum and industry changes.
