Barker Ross Group is seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator for a 7-month infrastructure project in the Shetland Islands. The role involves open-cut trenching, laying/reinstating tarmac, and installing ducts and fibre optic cables.

You must have CPCS/NPORS qualification, experience in utilities/trenching, and be able to travel to Shetland with accommodation paid by the client.

Qualifications

• Experience laying/reinstating tarmac is essential.
• CPCS/NPORS qualification required.
• Experience in utilities, ducting, trenching or infrastructure preferred.
• Fit for an outdoor project and able to commit to rotation.
• References required from previous employers.

We are looking for an experienced 360 Excavator Operator for a 7-month infrastructure project in the Shetland Islands.

The project involves approximately 1,500 metres of large open-cut trenching through fields and peatland, installing three 8-inch power ducts and fibre optic cables, plus a further 2,400 metres of trenching along a carriageway, including tarmac reinstatement.

Requirements:

• Experience laying/reinstating tarmac is essential
• Previous utilities, ducting, trenching or infrastructure experience preferred
• Fit and capable of working on a demanding outdoor project
• Reliable and able to commit to the full rotation
• References required from previous employers
• Relevant CPCS/NPORS qualification required11 days on / 4 days off, with travel to and from Shetland and accommodation paid for by the client.
