Role Summary

Undertake responsive and routine repairs and void repairs to Portsmouth City Council’s (PCC) Housing and Corporate Assets stock, supporting other maintenance contracts as needed. Work across PCC’s property portfolio including Social Housing, Schools, Public Conveniences, Offices, Heritage, and Museums.

Key Activities

Perform a variety of general groundworks, repairs, and associated works to occupied homes, buildings, and empty properties. Tasks include concrete and slab pathway installations, minor brickwork, fencing, washing line replacements, and mains drainage clearances.

Knowledge & Experience

• Demonstrate competence as a tradesperson with the necessary tools
• Maintain up-to-date technical, statutory, and legislative knowledge relevant to your trades
• Knowledge of building materials and methods used in maintenance
• 2-5 years of experience in social housing or building maintenance environments

Qualifications

• Groundwork Training Course - NVQ Level 2 Construction
• Trade-based experience may be considered

A full, clean driving license is required to operate company vans.
