Job summary

Groundworker role based in Hindhead, Surrey. 7.30AM–4.30PM with CIS pay £182 per day. You will handle drainage, foundations, kerbing, edging and paving, excavate sites, set up drainage systems, lay concrete and assist with foundations.

CSCS card required; NPORS/plant tickets desirable. Work is on site with a busy team, aiming to meet project deadlines. Salary is paid CIS daily; start ASAP for a temporary 6-week assignment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Groundworker.
• Valid CSCS Card (essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of groundwork, including drainage, foundations, kerbing, edging and paving.
• Excavate and prepare sites for construction projects.
• Install drainage systems, manholes and ducting.
• Lay concrete and assist with foundations.
• Operate plant and machinery where qualified.
• Read and interpret site plans and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
