• Getting to know the types of materials and equipment we use
• Labouring for the gang
• Inductions on the various sites we work on
• Manual handling training
• Having a go at more complex tasks (installing a kerb, raking some surfacing)
• Abrasive wheels training
• Taking a more active role in the gang
• Starting to know what your tasks will be without needing instruction
• Using small plant more such as circular saws, plate compactors, drills, breakers etc.
• Continuing to labour for the gang
