Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking an experienced Skilled Groundworker (Finishing) for a commercial project in North Tyneside. You will specialise in high-quality finishing work and can work independently or as part of a team to hit project deadlines.

Key tasks include finishing groundworks (flagging, slabbing, block paving), kerbing, drainage adjustments, and site tidying. A valid CIS registration and CSCS Blue Skilled Worker card are required, plus full PPE and basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• Finishing groundworks experience including flagging and kerbing.
• Ability to work independently or in a team to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to use small plant equipment as required.

Job Title: Skilled Groundworker (Finishing)

Pay Rate: £21.00 per hour (CIS)

Duration: 2-3 Months

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join a commercial project in North Tyneside. The ideal candidate will specialize in high-quality finishing work and be capable of working independently or as part of a team to hit project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Finishing Groundworks: High-standard flagging, slabbing, and block paving.


• Kerbing: Laying, straight/radius kerbing, and edging.


• General Maintenance: Drainage adjustments, ironwork, patch repairs, and tidy-up groundworks.


• Operating small plant equipment where required.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in finishing groundworks (flagging and kerbing are essential).


• Card/Ticket: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred).


• PPE: Full personal protective equipment (Hard hat, steel toe boots, hi-vis).


• Tools: Basic hand tools for finishing work.


• Must have right to work in the UK and a valid CIS registration.
