Job summary

RGM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a busy site in Chatham, Kent. This role offers immediate start with 9 hours paid per day at £21 per hour.

Duties include general groundworks, drainage, concreting, kerbing, excavation, and working around existing services. CSCS card required where applicable; you will work closely with site management and other trades, maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Groundworker on site.
• Experience in all aspects of groundworks including drainage and concreting.
• CSCS card and any tickets relevant to the role.
• Reliable, hardworking, punctual and a good team player.
• Ability to follow site plans and maintain safety standards.

Job description

LOCATION: Chatham, Kent

START DATE: ASAP

PAY RATE: £21.00 per hour

HOURS: 9 hours paid per day

We are currently looking for an experienced Groundworker to join a busy site in Chatham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable Groundworker looking for an immediate start, with 9 hours paid per day at £21 per hour.

Duties will include:

• General groundworks and site preparation
• Excavation and digging
• Drainage and pipework installation
• Installation of ducting and underground services
• Concrete works and foundations
• Kerbing and edging
• Slabbing and paving
• Tarmac preparation and associated groundwork
• Shallow and deep excavation work
• Ground preparation and levelling
• Working around existing services
• Assisting with site clearance and general construction duties
• Using hand tools and groundworking equipment safely
• Following site plans, drawings and instructions
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Working closely with other trades and site management

The ideal candidate:

• Has proven experience as a Groundworker
• Has experience in all aspects of groundworks
• Is confident with drainage, concreting, kerbing, excavation and general groundwork
• Has a good understanding of site health & safety
• Is reliable, hardworking and punctual
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Is able to follow instructions and work to a high standard
• Has a strong work ethic and good attention to detail
• Has the appropriate CSCS card and relevant tickets where required
