Job summary

Denstone College is seeking a Grounds Person to join our friendly grounds team. You will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the grounds around the site, carrying out routine tasks as directed by the Grounds Manager.

The role is predominantly Monday to Friday with occasional events. Candidates with prior grounds work experience and a willingness to learn about equipment maintenance are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Grounds Person or in a similar role.
• Experience in grounds equipment maintenance or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weathers and follow health and safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Care and maintenance of the grounds around the site.
• Work under the guidance of the Grounds Manager and follow risk assessments.
• Support occasional events as required.

Denstone College wish to provide an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Person to join our friendly and supportive grounds team. You will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the grounds around the site, as instructed by the Grounds Manager. The role will be predominantly Monday to Friday with the exception of occasional events. If you would like the prospect of working in a varied role and have experience of grounds work, we would like to hear from you!

• Experience as a Grounds Person or similar role
• Experience in grounds equipment maintenance and repair or willing to learn
• Spraying licenses and relevant grounds qualifications are desirable
• Ability to work outdoors in all weathers
• Ability to understand Health and Safety processes and following risk assessments
• Ability to work on own initiative within given guidelines
• Ability to work as part of a team
