Job summary

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a Facilities Operative for Waste and External Areas at the Berkshire College of Agriculture in Maidenhead. The role is 25 hours per week, permanent, with duties including waste collection, litter picking and outdoor maintenance under the Estates Department.

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 16:30, with occasional weekend work and DBS checks as part of safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Part-time permanent role (25 hours per week) at Maidenhead campus.
• Experience in facilities or waste management is beneficial.
• Willingness to perform outdoor grounds tasks and porterage.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste and recycling bins daily across campus.
• Collect rubbish from college buildings and perform litter picking.
• Keep bin compounds clean and safe; wash external surfaces and signs.
• Perform heavy porterage tasks and operate college vehicles/machinery as required.
• Liaise with external cleaning contractors and support events/open days (weekends occasionally).
• Use internal IT software to support facilities operations.
