Overview

The post holder will supervise the grounds team, ensuring the safe and continuous operation of the site, reporting to the Building & Grounds TSM.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1. Represent EQUANS professionally.
2. Perform and supervise planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on grounds.
3. Respond to breakdown requests promptly.
4. Supervise minor upgrading and adaptation works.
5. Follow safe working practices and guidelines.
6. Operate equipment and tools safely, following health & safety protocols.
7. Use personal protective equipment correctly.
8. Maintain accurate records of work performed.
9. Collaborate with colleagues and contractors.
10. Liaise with the trust to minimize disruption.
11. Undertake necessary training to maintain skills.
12. Perform risk assessments as instructed.
13. Complete all required paperwork accurately.
14. Complete tasks within designated timeframes.
15. Perform any other relevant duties.

Contributes to the effective operation of healthcare facilities by maintaining outdoor environments.

Involves managing outdoor spaces, supervising staff, landscape maintenance, equipment management, budgeting, safety enforcement, and communication with various stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in general maintenance and customer-facing roles.
• Healthcare environment experience (desirable).
• Familiarity with computer-based task systems (desirable).
• Level 2 safe use of ride-on mowers.
• PA1 Pesticide Application Theory.
• PA6a Pesticide Application Knapsack.
• Full driving license.
• Computer literacy.
