Whitgift School in South Croydon is seeking a proactive Groundsperson to maintain our extensive sports facilities, pitches and estate to a high standard. You will work on cricket pitches, hybrid surfaces, lawns and landscaped areas, ensuring safety and presentation for educational and community use.

The ideal candidate will have grounds maintenance or sports turf experience, with relevant qualifications and a flexible, team-oriented approach to support school events and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or sports turf work.
• Ability to maintain pitches, lawns and landscaped areas to a high standard.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements in outdoor environments.
• Flexible and team-oriented approach to support school activities.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and maintain cricket pitches, hybrid surfaces, lawns and landscaped areas.
• Assist with maintenance of the estate and sports facilities.
• Support school events and equipment upkeep as required.
• Ensure grounds are safe, tidy and presentable for users and visitors.
