Brymore Academy in Bridgwater is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our Premises team. The role involves keeping school grounds in top condition, including mowing, hedges, pruning, and planting to support a safe outdoor environment for students and staff.

You should have grounds maintenance experience, be physically fit, and enjoy working outdoors in all weather. A driving licence and willingness to learn health and safety procedures are important assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture or landscaping.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Willingness to learn health & safety procedures.
• Enthusiasm for maintaining green spaces and sports pitches.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining school grounds to a high standard: mowing, hedge cutting, pruning and planting.
• Using grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Keeping storage areas tidy and tools maintained.
• Supporting the delivery of safe, accessible outdoor spaces for students and staff.
• Following environmental and health & safety policies.
