Talent Solutions - Idverde RPO in Edinburgh seeks a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to supervise a small crew delivering grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming and litter removal. This permanent role runs Mon-Fri, 07:00–16:30, with a UK driving licence essential.

The ideal candidate has prior grounds maintenance leadership experience, a safety‑first mindset and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. PA1/PA6 licences are advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Grounds Maintenance with a can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role within Grounds Maintenance or similar industry, 2 years preferred.
• Ability to ensure tasks meet required standards with attention to detail.
• Physically fit to work outdoors in all weather.
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Proficient in problem solving and handling complex situations.
• Reliable, energetic with a can-do attitude.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• PA1/PA6 licences are an advantage.

Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £14-15 per hour
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:30

About the role

As a Team Leader you will supervise your small team and work alongside them to provide various grounds maintenance services in Edinburgh, including grass cutting (ride on and pedestrian), strimming, shrub and border maintenance, hedge cutting, and litter picking.

Requirements

• Prior experience within Grounds Maintenance with a can‑do attitude and safety‑conscious mindset.
• Previous experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor position within Grounds Maintenance or a similar industry, 2 year preferred.
• Ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard, with a good eye for detail.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• The ability to be able to work independently but also as part of a wider team.
• Proficient in problem solving and dealing with complex situations.
• Reliable, energetic and enthusiastic with a determined, flexible and "can‑do" attitude.
• Experience of Ride‑On mower.
• A full valid UK driving licence is essential.
• PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage.
