Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team near CV21 2NP. You will carry out grass cutting, litter picking, strimming, edging and hedge cutting, along with weed control using mowers and powered tools. All duties are performed under supervision.

The role requires a valid driver’s licence and some grounds maintenance experience; PA1/PA6 certifications are preferred but not essential. Permanent roles may follow after successful probation (3–4 months).

Qualifications

• Driver's licence required.
• Experience in grounds maintenance is preferred but not essential.
• PA1 and PA6 certifications are nice to have but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting and lawn maintenance as part of routine works.
• Litter picking and cleaning of site perimeter and common areas.
• Strimming and edging to maintain borders and verges.
• Hedge trimming and topiary maintenance where required.
• Weed control using manual tools and powered equipment.
• General landscape labour duties as directed by supervisor.
• Assist team with on-site tasks to ensure timely completion.

Grounds Maintenance operative needed to work for one of the UK's leading landscape/grounds maintenance company.

Responsibilities

• Strimming
• Edging
• Hedge cutting
• Weed control using mowers and powered tools
• Other general landscape labour duties as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in grounds maintenance (not necessarily extensive)
• Preferred: PA1 and PA6 certifications (not essential)
• Permanent roles available after successful probation (usually 3–4 months)

Working Hours

6 am to 2.30 pm – Monday to Friday

Pay

£15.07 per hour (incl. holiday pay)
