Glendale is recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to provide an effective grounds maintenance service. The role requires understanding of garden maintenance and machinery used for grounds tasks, with training provided.
The position may start temporarily with potential to become permanent; winter gritting and summer grass cutting are core duties, and occasional evening overtime offers bonus payments.

The main purpose of this role is to provide an effective grounds maintenance service. The Grounds maintenance Operative will be required to have an understanding in garden maintenance and have an understanding of the machinery used to carry out grounds maintenance tasks.
The role involves winter gritting and summer grass cutting, starting as a temporary position with the potential to become permanent. For the gritting duties,a driving license is required. The hours will be from 8 p.m. into the early hours of the morning, so the candidate must be flexible and available for weekend work. Hours outside of gritting duties will be paid at the National Minimum Wage.

Previous knowledge of Grounds Maintenance skills and horticulture are desirable, however training will be provided.
Previous experience of handheld machinery is desirable, however full training will be given.
Operative must hold a full, clean UK driving license

Availability and willingness to work evening overtime as and when required during the winter months for which an excellent bonus payment will be made each month
