Job summary

Ground Control in Reading is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to support high-quality grounds services at Green Park, Business Park, Reading RG2 6GP. The role is full-time and requires commitment to health and safety.

You will carry out grass cutting, pruning, hedge work, spraying, litter picking, and operate equipment with training provided for mobile reporting; salary is above real living wage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar grounds maintenance role.
• Good knowledge of health and safety procedures and safe equipment use.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Spraying qualifications PA1/PA6 and/or horticultural certification desirable.
• Proactive, professional attitude and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and specialist grounds tasks including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, spraying, pruning and litter picking.
• Operate a range of equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and PPE to a high standard and report defects.
• Record completed work using mobile tech (training provided).
• Work collaboratively with your team to meet quality and performance targets.
