Job summary

Amey is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to support Nuclear Restoration Services across Complex Facilities. The role offers 37 hours per week (Mon-Thu 07:30-16:30, Fri 07:30-12:00) with a risk-aware environment and long-term development opportunities.

You will perform grass cutting, hedge and shrub maintenance, herbicide application, and light-plant operation, contributing to safe, well-managed grounds and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence required.
• Experience in gardening or grounds maintenance in a commercial setting preferred.
• Understanding of Health and Safety legislation beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting using ride-on and pedestrian mowers.
• Strimming and brush cutting.
• Minor arboriculture works and hedge maintenance.
• Herbicide application and waste disposal support.
• Operate light plant and power tools.
• Maintain and repair perimeter tracks and shrub beds.
• Keep records and ensure equipment is maintained.
