Job summary

Ringway in Welwyn Garden City is seeking a dedicated ground maintenance operative to join a 2-4 person team. You will work on highway grounds maintenance tasks, operating a range of vehicles and plant equipment to keep roads and verges safe and tidy.

The role is permanent and full-time (39 hours). We expect teamwork, reliability and a proactive attitude, with willingness to learn and develop relevant training and qualifications while keeping accurate records.

Qualifications

• Maintain and apply a wide range of generalist skills per site needs.
• Understand risk assessments and follow safe systems of work.
• Work to spec as set out in project specifications.
• Operate small plant and equipment safely.
• Contribute to and participate fully in team work.
• Be prepared to work varying hours to meet business needs.
• Demonstrate willingness to develop training and qualifications.
• Complete record sheets, paper or electronic.
• Take responsibility for plant and equipment.
• Use own initiative and work safely for themselves and others.
• Understand and be responsible for own safety, plus that those around them

Job description

To work as part of a 2-4 person team undertaking Highway Grounds Maintenance. Operating various vehicles and items of plant equipment.
