The Role

Do you enjoy working outdoors? Do you have experience in grounds maintenance and want to contribute to your local community? If so, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

At Landscape Services, our Grounds Maintenance Operatives perform tasks such as grass cutting, border work, hedge trimming, and working directly with schools on their sports fields.

You should be self-motivated, a great communicator, and knowledgeable about health and safety and safe work practices.

Applicants must have a full (clean) driving license and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, which will be arranged by us.

Key Duties

• Maintain health and safety standards, identify risks, and report issues to senior staff
• Complete daily tasks for customer contracts and provide excellent customer service
• Perform safety checks on equipment
• Use equipment and materials correctly and safely, seeking guidance from the Team Leader as needed
• Communicate with customers, address concerns, and represent Landscape Services professionally
• Support inclement weather works, such as snow clearing or flood response

Requirements

• Knowledge of grounds maintenance, preferably in a similar role
• Understanding of horticulture and operational procedures
• Experience with mowing and related equipment
• Knowledge of machinery maintenance
• Ability to commute to Tonbridge for work
