Your new job role will be working for a leading social housing provider on their contract based within the St Helens area.

Your new role

Your new job role will be to carry out all aspects of Grounds Maintenance works such as:

1. Grass Cutting: Using powered mowers and strimmers to maintain lawns and grassy areas.
2. Hedge and Shrub Maintenance: Trimming hedges and shrubs using powered hedge cutters, and pruning plants as needed.
3. Weeding and Spraying: Removing weeds and applying herbicides to hard surfaces and kerb edges.
4. Litter Collection: Picking up litter and ensuring communal areas are clean and tidy.
5. Tree Maintenance: Basic tree care, such as removing damaged or broken limbs.
6. Seasonal Planting: Planting and maintaining seasonal bedding and shrubs.
7. Pathway Maintenance: Clearing and sweeping pathways to keep them free of debris.
8. Customer Interaction: Addressing customer enquiries and complaints promptly and effectively.
9. Health and Safety Compliance: Following all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery.

   What you'll need to succeed

   • Previous experience working as a Grounds Maintenance Operative (minimum 2 years).
   • Full UK Driving License.
   • Good grounds maintenance knowledge.
   • Full PPE.
   • Previous references.
