Job description

BBS Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative in a temporary ongoing position for our client in Islington.

This is a seasonal post to end of October 2025.

Duties & Responsibilities for the Grounds Maintenance Operative:

• Working within a team you will undertake grounds maintenance and gardening duties within designated parks, open spaces and housing estates to a high standard of appearance.
• There will be a range of activities from grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance too name a few.
• You will need to ensure a safe working environment is always maintained and carry out day to day maintenance and safety checks on all equipment.

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, must be able to work evenings and weekends

Requirements:

• Basic horticultural knowledge required
• Use of hand tools, blowers, strimmers etc.
• Able to work outside in all weather.
