Job summary

Pinnacle Group in Croydon is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to look after outdoor spaces across housing sites. You will perform mowing, hedge trimming, weed control, planting and general upkeep while working with safety and efficiency.

You must have proven grounds maintenance experience, be physically fit, hold a valid driving licence and be able to operate common groundskeeping machinery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Valid driving licence.
• Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping machinery and hand tools safely.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations related to grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, edging, and maintaining lawns to keep them neat and healthy.
• Trimming and shaping hedges, shrubs and bushes to promote growth and improve appearance.
• Removing weeds from flower beds, pathways and other landscaped areas to prevent overgrowth.
• Planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants as well as preparing soil and beds.
• Clearing debris, litter picking, sweeping pathways, and maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas.
• Safely operating machinery such as mowers, strimmer and leaf blowers, along with maintaining tools and equipment.
• Driving company vehicles to transport equipment and access multiple sites as required.
• Following all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Performing seasonal duties like leaf clearing, frost protection, or preparing sites for different weather conditions.

Job description

Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative based in Croydon to ensure that outdoor spaces across numerous housing sites are well-maintained and well-presented. You will be responsible for a variety of landscaping tasks, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges and shrubs, weeding flower beds and pathways and performing general upkeep such as clearing debris. You will operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently, following all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping, be physically fit, able to work in all weather conditions and possess a keen eye for detail.

You will be joining our Soft FM team based in Hackney, Our Soft FM team is responsible for a wide range grounds maintenance services across the Croydon and South London area.

This is a full time permanent position, working 7AM-3:30PM Monday to Friday
